A few weeks ago on the Twitter I put out a request for ideas for my 500th post. To say I was inundated with suggestions is an understatement. In the end I chose three ideas that tickled my fancy and here they are.
A big thank you to Paul Gibbs ( @gibbspaulus ) for the Threads baby mobile, Simon Hart ( @si_hart ) for the Encyclopaedia of Juliet Bravo - E-K, and Chris Orton ( @chrisorton2011 ) for the Tenko playhouse. Follow them as they seem to share the same sense of the absurd as I do.

It can't have gone unnoticed that I have a thing about merchandise based on the 80s BBC drama Threads. One of my earliest posts was for a Panini Threads Sticker Book. I've gone back and re-done that one now I know how Photoshop actually works. And also done a couple of other pieces of apocalyptic ephemera...
(Oh and by the way, I don't have any swapsies of "Woman Pissing Herself".)
It's nearly that time of the year when newsagents and corner shops have to clear out that spare room and make space under the stairs to store their vast deliveries of festive TV guides.
Mammoth double issues with mammoth double prices will soon be weighing down the dump bins just inside the doors of local supermarkets. Some of the dumpbins may also be still standing by the end of their first day on the job.
So to celebrate and in anticipation of the mad rush to see what five year old movie we'll be sleeping through on Christmas Day, here's a stocking full of seasonal Radio and TVTimes for your amusing...

There was a time when very TV series had a packet of sweet cigarettes named after them.
And just like real cigarettes, you had to keep buying further packets. In their case, it was to complete your collection of FREE PICTURES CARDS - usually about 50 to collect.
You can still buy them today only they are called candy sticks and no longer contain free cards. So sad.
