A Selection from the Supermarkets...

In these times of social distancing and limited supplies in supermarkets, we have to be a little more choosy in the groceries we purchase on that rare occasion we venture into the outer world.

My rule of life is:

"If you can't have what you want, then make your own!"

And that is what I have done...

I find these two books excellent guides for these interesting times. Mrs Farrel's recipe for Ogron Brain chutney is a must at this time of year.

You can help me towards my goal of a full shopping basket of things by purchasing me a coffee via my Ko-fi account. Pop over there and have a look at the gallery as well. It's free.

Quark Yoghurt?

I'm indebted to for bringing to my attention the fact that Muller now produce a Quark yogurt.

Apparently, it's a sort of cheese/yoghurt hybrid from the continent and nothing to do with the favoured robot guards of the so-called 'Dominators' from TV's Dr. Who.

That's Why Mum's Gone To Iceworld!

When I've run out of ideas for new tat, I usually turn to Twitter hashtags for inspiration. Last Tuesday was National Burger Day for reasons known only to the industry that came up with the idea.

Burgers = Beef = Cows = Bulls = NIMON!!! (This is how 'word association' works in my brain. Psychologists take note!)

And again, one thing lead to another and I've ended were nearly material for an Iceland advert.

(Cue lots of repetitive comments about "How many Nimon burgers have you seen?")
